I’ve been doing a lot of reading, watching and general researching in preparation for my talk “Boosting Agility by Scaling Your Decision-Making” at LeanAgile US later this month. It shouldn’t be a surprise that a key component to scale decision-making is to enable and prepare more people to make decisions. So, of course, I’m going to be reading and watching David Marquet.
This video is #176 in his 1 minute leadership nudge series. What’s great about this series is that the videos are all concise and focused on a very specific concept – you have to be to fit it in a minute (or so). The concept of this video is about the difference between passing instructions, where we do what we are told, and passing information, where we can make decisions in the moment. Take a minute to watch and tell me what you think.
If you like this nudge, subscribe to the series. All of the ones I’ve seen so far are great and they are just 1 minute long! If you want to watch more of his videos, here are some great ones:

- Give Control First (Nudge)
